Now In english: last week I attended a meeting from the Americas Project in Houston, Texas (organised by the James Baker Institute at Rice University and the OAS), and after all the sunk cost to get the visa, I decided to travel early and spend a week in New York. I flew over Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty on helicopter, went to the top of the Empire State, visited Times Square, went to listen live Jazz at the Lincoln centre in fron of Central Park, ate hot-dogs in the corner trolleys, walked the Brooklyn bridge, went to MOMA, Guggenheim, Harlem, etc. below there are some pictures and a link to an album with even more pictures…

Hi, not that I’m becoming a promoter of other people’s work, but I found out about this movie and wanted to share it with you, in case you like the Beatles. If you don’t, you should see a doctor…
The movie is called “Across the Universe” and it is narrated not through dialogue, but the fab four’s songs.
After watching it, McCartney gave his blessings and said it was quite good actually. Yeah, I know, he’s also collecting a paycheck for property rights, and the man also thought Heather Mills was good but, when it comes to pop art in Macca we trust. Anyway, there’s the trailer, and below some links.

Graffities en Brighton, Jesus as seen by the godless people of Brighton, desfile del dia de la paz (Hippy smelly Brightonians…)

Giosy Time?).

So I went to Newcastle to see the Royal Shakespeare Company in King Lear, with Ian McKellen (aka Gangalf, Magneto, Richard III). The pictures are the Earl Grey Column in Newcasyle City Centre (yes, THAT Earl Grey, the one from the tea…), Newcastle bridge, and the Theatre Royal Newcastle during Lear’s presentations / Me fui a Newcastle a ver a la Royal Shakespeare Company presentando “King Lear” con Ian McKellen.
A video of McKellen playing Lear / McKellen como Lear:
And also took a day off to Durham to visit the Cathedral in the little island in the middle of river Ouse:

Ok, it’s been quite a while since my last post, but come on, teaching three courses, with 15 groups a week, plus working in two Research Units, plus watching The Simpsons at night doesn’t leave much time left for blogging, does it?
Anyway, in case you have missed me, here’s a new picture of me during my transformation into The Hulk…

Anyway, the only news I have is that Tomas, the yet unborn son two Chilean friends, Pato and Helen, already has his first Blog (look at my Blogroll–>). Here you have a picture of Tomas:
